"I considered carefully before picking Mountain Scope. I bought it at Copperstate and flew back to Santa Fe with it. First try it worked great. The software is easy to use and the features are outstanding. Looking forward to trying the updates! Only one flight with Mountain Scope so far. I' using it on a Axim X5. Nice bright dispay and its easy to read. The data on the screen is well layed out with any necessary display options easy to initiate."

"I use this product on a Dell Axim 5. Find it hard to imagine not flying night missions and low vis routes without it now. I tell everyone I know, that if you fly anywhere with terrain you should really consider this product. Monte"

"The product stands in a class by itself as far as terrain depiction - panel or portable. You are looking at a full color high-res moving topo map with yellow warnings for terrain within 1,000 ft (adjustable) and red depicting terrain at or above your elevation. You can also select an AGL readout function as you fly over terrain. There is a night mode and an IFR screen option with overlays enroute charts. All overlays are fully adjustable. I'm running this program on a IPAQ 3850 and am getting the gps data from my (WAAS enabled) Garmin 196 via a serial/power connector from Supplynet.. I have had zero software issues with Mountainscope - extremely intuitive and reliable. IMHO - runs circles around AWM (or any other aviation software) for terrain depiction. If you fly at night and/or IMC you should have Mountainscope! If nothing else than for the piece of mind of knowing exactly where the ground is. Some other great features: numbered runway extension flags; CDI; approach and frequency info for every airport and navaid in the U.S. and beyond, airspace depiction, search and rescue grids, antennae depection. Great work Todd!"

"This is the best handheld product I have seen to help avoid CFIT accidents, some of our most deadly. Nothing else comes close in a handheld unit, and it rivals the best of the panel mount displays. At the same time, it has all of the other features you would expect in a handheld unit."
