Cetus GPS 1.1 (Freeware)

This application uses your handheld GPS to give you a full navigation display, tracklog and other information.

Features Include: Simple to use, compass information screen will show: speed (average and maximum), course, time/date, altitude (minimum and maximum), bearing and position. You can also input a custom point(s) to set as your destination. The tracking feature will allow you to record your movements to a database that can be analyzed on a PC or Mac (great for gliders).

Review

Pros: Great for displaying GPS information, supports multiple waypoint databases.
Cons: Missing moving map, must manually enter waypoints, (see our airport search tool for latitude and longitude), no ETE (estimated time enroute), no high-res+ support.
Notes: Download the TrackLog utility to analyze and export your tracking database.  There is also a web application to convert your tracklog (or GPX) into SVG maps. Use the up/down arrow to scroll through screen labels.

"Works as stated and is simple to use. Great program! Find it helpful in storing sestinations I will return to for quick milage references, etc. Like the speed and altitude abilities. My use is personal only. Have used with an older Palm m130 and the newer Zire 72 w/ bluetooth. Worked well with both devices. {version 1.1}"

"just tried to pair with palm tungsten and it works and the positioning to no bad and they thought about things like always on batteri. Tried with a small matchbox large gps bluetooth reciver caleed www.bluei.se final verdict later most often there are som bugs..."
