Posted by Matthew Justice on Aug 7, 2007

Shuttle ...

NASA has started the countdown clock for the upcoming launch of the space shuttle Endeavour, mission STS-118. The shuttle is scheduled to blast off at 18:36 EDT on Wednesday to begin its 11-14 day assembly mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

Currently, the weather forecast looks promising for a launch on Wednesday. The US space agency says there is only a 30% chance that showers or clouds could prevent lift-off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

This will be the 22nd flight to the International Space Station, STS-118 will be the first flight for Endeavour since 2002. You can view the launch on-line by using the link below or watching NASA TV.
