Music: Bruno Misonne Creates Music Using Aviation Sounds
Posted by Matthew Justice on Nov 18, 2007Bruno Misonne, a Belgian composer, has created a collection of interesting electronic music by combining aviation sounds with his musical creations. His creative works include prop engine sounds, the whine of jet turbines, cockpit voice recordings, aerial combat sounds, plain speech, and more.
The opening of "Brussels National," is really good! It starts out with ATIS playing against music in the background alone with jet engines, drums, ATC talking, and more. Other tracks include Propeller Symphony, Tarmac Activity, Birds of War, Aerobatics, and the Turbofan Adrenaline remix. You can just listen to the music or you can drift into the aviation context and experience it that way. There are twelve tracks included that represent around 75 minutes of music.
You can sample the music or view a few videos on Bruno's site. You can then purchase the CD or MP3 download from CD Baby for $14.97 on-line. You can also purchase the music from the iTunes Music Store for $9.99. Consider supporting the Bruno's work with a purchase from any of the sites listed above.
