News: Cessna Lands On Warehouse Roof
Posted by Matthew Justice on Sep 19, 2007A single-engine Cessna experienced engine problems shortly after takeoff from Columbia Owens Field (CUB) in South Carolina.
The pilot reported that during taxi everything seemed normal, but once they took-off the “engine started sputtering”, they then hit a powerline and crashed into the roof of a warehouse. The two pilots suffered scrapes and bruises and the rear-seat passenger broke her arm. The plane will be brought down from the roof and FAA investigators will take apart the engine to find the problem that brought the aircraft down to begin with.
