APIC MAP is a new and free version of Approach Integrated Cockpit (APIC) with just GPS-based Moving Map and Map related features. Included is all moving map functionality typically found with other aviation GPS moving map systems. The difference with APIC MAP – it's free and all 28 day updates are free as well.

APIC MAP works with Microsoft Windows XP™, VISTA™ Tablet PC versions as well as Pocket 2003, Mobile 5.0 PDA. Approach Systems will send you a link every 28 days informing you when the latest updates are available.

In addition to APIC MAP, Approach Systems has re-priced APIC PLATES, as a $99/yearly subscription. APIC W/PDA, the Windows and Windows Mobile versions have been renamed APIC PRO. The price for APIC PRO is still ONLY $189 which includes a year subscription of updates. Additionally, APIC GLASS is Approach's glass cockpit software with interfaces to solid state gyros "AHRS", Approach's Engine monitoring system "EPOD". APIC GLASS provides all functionality of a complete glass cockpit.
