News: American Airlines 777 Travels To London With Only 5 People On-Board
Posted by Matthew Justice on Mar 6, 2008I know this has happened before, but it still seems like a waste of resources to me (as well as some others). There is a recent report about an American Airlines 777 that flew with only five passengers aboard to London last month.
The airline says it needed the aircraft in London, where a full load of passengers was waiting for the return flight back to the United States. I am not sure what other solution they could have used, but it seems like they could have placed the U.S. bound passengers on-board other flights or transported some cargo instead of a cargo company having to make the same trip.
I would have flown over with them, I have some friends in London I would love to go see :-)
